Gray Flycatcher

Altho small, the GRAY FLYCATCHER is one of the noisiest, especially in early morning or late afternoon. They are very common above 6000 feet elevation and their varied notes from deep fir forests betray their presence. In more open country, where oaks are small and scattered, they are more conspicuous and easily separated from other species by small size and gray color.
