Orangecrown Warbler

This species seems to use the Mississippi Valley for Spring migration altho it resembles the Nashville so closely that it is possible some go north thru the eastern states and are mistaken for rubricapilla. Little is known of its habits. Seton compares its song to the Chipping Sparrow's, altho more musical and in a higher key. Jones says the song is full and strong, not high-pitched and ending on a rising scale.
