Alaska Yellow Wagtail

Budytes flavus alascensis

This representative of old world WAGTAILS occurs in Alaska, migrating thru Aleutian Islands to eastern Asia. Little is known of its habits.

BREEDING

NEST: A coarse structure of grass, built under tussock shelter, on the ground.

EGGS: 4–6; white, specked with brown shades.

RANGE

Western Alaska from Point Barrow to Kotzebue Sound.
