In habits HARRIS HAWK is so similar to the Marsh Hawk that an observer watching its deliberate flight over the mesquite is apt to mistake it for our familiar Harrier. There is the same painstaking search for prey and conspicuous white patch at tail base, characteristic of the eastern bird. Harris Hawk is far less exclusive tho, frequently associating with Vultures in their carrion orgies.
