Harris Sparrow

Zonotrichia querula

HARRIS SPARROW reverses the customary vocal precedence and seldom sings in the nesting season. In Autumn and early Winter after migration they warble a low minor strain that toward evening becomes almost a chorus. The notes are similar to the Whitethroats but more prolonged.
The common note is the characteristic chirp of the family.
