These curiously marked DOVES are resident in Tropical America. Little is known of their habits.

BREEDING

NEST: as usual in the genus.

EGGS: two; pale buff.

RANGE

A few range into southern Florida. Formerly quite numerous in the Keys of that State.

A tree up to 25 feet, distributed from St. John's River to southern Keys of Florida.
