From Marin and Placer counties, California, to Lower California.
Altho nowhere abundant, SCOTT SPARROWS are fairly common locally. Their song is weak but given with all they have. On mountainsides where shelter is scanty they elude observation with great skill. In the Spring they are less wary and males pursue each other with scolding notes.
Southern Arizona, northern New Mexico to southwestern Texas.
A 40–60-foot tree found in southern Arizona and New Mexico.
