Ranging over South America this close relative of the Zonetail Hawk extends its habitat into the southern border of the United States. Knowledge of its habits is limited but they probably are similar to other members of the genus.
NEST: of sticks and dried vegetation; located in trees.
EGGS: 1 to 3; greenish-white spotted with chestnut.
