Spotted Screech Owl

Otus trichopsis

This and the two following species are links from Screech to Pygmy Owls. Just why the Great Horned Owls should have been placed between is one of those mysterious things which only the High Priests of Ornithology could explain.

SPOTTED OWLS are rare and little is known of their ways altho probably similar to those of Otus.
