Thickbill Parrot

Rhynchopsitta pachyrhyncha

This seems to be the only venturesome member of an extremely large tropical family which crosses our borders.

Advent of a man in the wild and lonely areas these birds frequent, is so unusual that THICKBILLS gather 'round and voice their astonishment quite in the Blue Jay manner.

Nothing is known of its nesting habits altho doubtless similar to others of the genus.

BREEDING
