Whitefront Goose

Anser albifrons gambeli

Little is known of this rare Goose. Before alighting they are said to twist and turn in erratic angles similar to the Tumbler Pigeon. In flight they cannot be distinguished from Canada Geese and as they fly high some passing flocks may have been mistaken for those birds.

BREEDING

NEST of usual materials.

EGGS — 5 to 7: cream.

RANGE

Central and western North America. Breeds in Arctic regions from northern Alaska to Yukon Valley.
