Whitewing Junco

Junco aikeni

Conspicuous wing bars and large size render identification easy. They sometimes mix with other Juncos but more often are formed in flocks of their own kind. They are found in numbers within a limited area.

RANGE

Wyoming and South Dakota, migrating about 500 miles south to southern Colorado and Kansas.
