David Reagon is a graduate of the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a master’s degree in science teaching from Boston College. During his dedicated career, David taught earth science, driver's education, coached cross-country and track, and designed the sets for numerous school plays.
Active in community affairs, he was a member of the all-volunteer Wassaic Fire Company and Captain of the Wassaic Rescue Squad. He chaired the Conservation Advisory Commission of the Town of Amenia for many years, working to prevent harmful projects and ensure applicable environmental laws were followed.
David became fascinated with the physical production of Rex Brasher’s Birds and Trees of North America. At the Brasher Symposium in 2023, he presented his research into materials and methods Rex Brasher used to print and color the twelve volume sets. While not a member of the board, David plays a key role in an advisory capacity.
