Former Board Member

Mr. Beddingfield holds a degree in Radio, Television, and Motion Pictures from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has had a long career as a video producer. He is the winner of seven Emmy Awards, including the 1988 Winter Olympics (ABC), 2014 Premier League (NBC), 2018 US Open Tennis (ESPN) and the 2019 Masters Golf (CBS). He is the owner of Julian Avenue Media, a video production company. In 2011 he won the Webby Award for the best product placement for Puma Shoes, shot on location in Rome and Berlin. His most recent production was Presentation of Tim Prentice, Kinetic Artist (2021). In 2020, Mr. Beddingfield wrote and directed the short film Rex Brasher: Painter of Birds, based on the book by Milton E. Brasher.

“When I joined the Rex Brasher Association, I knew that Rex accomplished the challenge of a lifetime by painting every known species of bird in North America. But it was beyond that accomplishment that I discovered my greatest interest. Rex Brasher, the man and his life, was such an inviting story that it became irresistible to me. I want to tell his story to anyone and everyone that I can, and I just hope that my visual media experience can help achieve this goal in some small way.”
