Mr. Gonzales grew up in southern Louisiana with an abiding interest in Audubon and birds. He is a cabinet maker, specializing in restoring antique furniture. He worked for the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford for thirty years as conservator of their 17th century furniture collection.
Introduced to Rex Brasher’s work by a friend who collected his prints, Mr. Gonzales is particularly interested in making the original paintings available for public viewing again.
